For Kids Who Like To Read:

Here's a fun way to explore reading with a friend, sibling or parent. At your library or bookstore, take turns choosing books (just make sure its not a book you've already read!) Now read the first sentence or two out loud. Does it make you want to read more of the book? Why, or why not? What about the opening lines makes you curious?

For Kids Who Like to Write:

Write letters, write poems, write stories, write comic books, write secret journal entries.

Try rewriting a familiar song, like this:
"Dinner was beef stew again..."
(to the tune of "Old McDonald Had a Farm")

For Kids Who Like Nocturnal Animals:

If you live near a zoo with a nocturnal house, you should definitely check it out. If you can't get to a zoo, here is the website for the zoo in my area: www.zoo.org

For Kids Who Like Bats:

With an adults help, you can build your very own bat house! Check out http://www.nwf.org/backyard/bathouse.cfm
They have lots of information about bats and instructions for building your very own bat house
